The world is coping with an issue of enormous scale and human impact, and our hearts go out to all who have been affected by the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19).
At Chica Locca Tours, we believe it is our role and responsibility during this time to prioritize two things: the health and well-being of our guests and crew and playing a helpful role in supporting local health officials and overnment leaders as they work to contain the virus. We have been following closely news of COVID-19 and as of this writing, there have been no outbreaks or alerts in our state of Nayarita, the entire Bay of Banderas, our small beautiful beachside town of Sayulita. There have been issues mainly in Mexico City and Sonora, both of which are far away (10 and 16 hour drives respectively) which are more populated, dense areas. We’re fortunate our area is away from major city centers.
I wanted to personally let you know about what steps Chica Locca is taking to help prevent the spread of the virus and support the health and well-being of our guests, employees, and our community.
For the last few weeks, we have been closely monitoring and preparing for all the possible scenarios and ensuring we have the right plans and resources in place, defined principally by the expert guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local public health authorities. This includes the cleaning of common areas and ensuring our crew are being diligent in executing the cleaning guidelines.
We would be privileged to serve you and take you on an amazing tour knowing we have your safety and well-being in mind. If you are around, staying in, or flying into Puerto Vallarta, risks are minimal to non-existent. We are checking every day. Should you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to ask! We will be transparent with our all guests to ensure a safe and happy adventure!
